The Nazarene Christian Preschool was established 1996.  Charlotte Styer began the program and built a reputation of excellence.  In 2006, Charlotte Styer retired and Amy Shaffer took over as the Director and primary teacher of the preschool.  Mrs Shaffer continues to build on the reputation that Mrs Styer began.

The preschool is fully licensed through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Mrs Amy Shaffer

Mrs Shaffer grew up in Marion, Ohio and attended Marion Harding High School.  She graduated from Harding in 1998 and then attended Mt Vernon Nazarene University.  Mrs Shaffer concentrated on Early Childhood education while at MVNU.

In June of 2001, she married her high school sweetheart, Jon.   She graduated in 2002 with a BA from MVNU.  In August of 2002, Mrs Shaffer welcomed her first son, Austin, into the world and began in-home daycare with her mother, Bambi Kelley.  In 2006, she accepted the Director position at the church and has been there since.

Mrs Shaffer has three sons now: Austin (seven), Riley (five), and Weston (one).  May 2010
